Like all transportation systems, trains also benefit from the innovations brought by technology. While the Japanese are trying their maglev-style super-fast trains that can reach speeds of 500 kilometers, the British are preparing to replace all subway trains with new and modern robot versions. In Europe, Eurostar, the operator of the train lines, is celebrating its 20th anniversary with a brand new high-speed train.

As an international train operator in Europe, Eurostar feels obliged to offer passengers the latest technology in the fastest way possible. Celebrating its 20th anniversary in the industry last week, Eurostar spoke about the high-speed train project to be commissioned in 2015 at a press conference held during the celebration.

Eurostar's new high-speed train is designed by the renowned Italian design studio Pininfarina. Pininfarina, working closely with the great super car manufacturers such as Ferrari and Maserati, gave this train called e320 a full lead. The high-tech train goes up to the 320 speed per hour and the pilot cab feels like a spacecraft cockpit. The new 17 new fleet is produced by Siemens.

Eurostar's new train e320 has taken 20% more passengers than its predecessors, increasing its capacity to 900 people. The train includes free Wi-Fi service, special passenger areas for wheelchairs, more luggage storage space and reclining seats with USB sockets. The new trains are planned to start service at the end of 2015.
