100 ton moved to historic bridge trailer

The 100-ton historical bridge was transported in 1889: The 102 60 meter-long historical iron bridge built in 15 will be replaced in the Paşaçayırı neighborhood by moving about XNUMX kilometers.
The historic iron bridge, which will be under the Kars Dam waters under the Mezra village, was removed by a crane from the location of the highways and placed in a truck. The iron bridge began to be transported from the village of Mezra with the road safety measures taken by traffic crews.
Hamak Construction Supervisor Bülent Yalmaz stated that the bridge weighs 102 tons and is 60 meters long and said, “It is thought to have been built in 1889. It is written in the Highways archive, 1904. The bridge was previously thought to be broken into pieces, but it was predicted that the entire transportation of the bridge was correct in order not to spoil its historical structure. Accordingly, the calculation was made. The bridge passed mathematical calculations and tests. There was a prediction that it could be moved alone. According to him, vehicles were planned again. The route has been planned. Necessary official correspondence was made. The approval of the General Directorate and the Board of Monuments was obtained. According to him, we started the transport process. The bridge will be rebuilt on the Kars Stream within the university. Keeping the same historical texture, the feet were re-manufactured with the same stones. I hope we will deliver it without a setback, ”he said.
1889 on 123 was made as one piece without using the annual iron bridge welding. The bridge would be inundated with the Kars Dam being constructed in the Çamçavuş area under the village of Mezra.
As a result of the correspondence made to prevent the bridge from being submerged, DSİ Regional Directorate and Directorate of Highways Regional Directorate removed the historical iron bridge crane from its current location and loaded it to a TIR.
The iron bridge will be transported on the Kars-Ardahan highway to the region prepared on the campus of Kafkas University from the Peripheral Road. The iron bridge will be replaced by a new crane here.
