It has been reported that Balıkesir Metropolitan Municipality has started a work for the establishment of a cable car that will rise to an altitude of approximately 800 meters from the Altınoluk Neighborhood, one of the holiday centers of Edremit.
Mayor of Metropolitan Municipality Ahmet Edip Uğur stated that Kazdağları is known as Mount Ida with its mythological name in the world and said that they are working for it to be known more.
Expressing that they want to make Kazdağları, the oxygen depot a brand, Uğur explained that they started a big project in this regard.
Uğur stated that they will set up a cable car from Altınoluk to Kazdağları and said, “It will rise from Altınoluk to a height of approximately 800 meters from the sea level. We have brought the authority of these jobs around the world. How is it best we are working on it. With the cable car, we will have taken an important step towards greater recognition and branding of Kazdağları ”.
Emphasizing that they are trying to provide equal service to every point of Balıkesir, which has coasts to Marmara and Aegean, Uğur said that the fight against olive flies has been done so comprehensively for the first time in its history.
Expressing that they rented the planes and bought the medicines, Uğur said, “We sprayed 822 thousand decares of olive fields. This year, a serious struggle was made with the olive fly in the Marmara and Aegean regions of Balıkesir. "This struggle will increase the quality of our olive oil, and our producer will gain more in exports."
