PARTS MOVED TO HALIC
Bridge parts were moved to the Golden Horn in a ceremony held 1 weeks after the fire. A damaged piece, which was kept by Eminönü during the relocation, was buried in the sea in the morning of 28. Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Nurettin Sozen said that the piece was sunk because of tons of sand and gravel stacked on the contractor firm and that the new bridge would be removed by the company. Then, the bridge between Balat-Hasköy and Ayvansaray-Halıcıoğlu was placed between the 12 part of the 40 meter and the 1 part of the 17 meter each, and the 2 piece, each meter long, disappeared during the last 22 year. Since the length between these shores is shorter than Eminönü-Karaköy distance, a bridge was established despite the missing parts. When and how about a thousand tonnes of parts of the bridge disappear, the answer awaits.

In the meantime, the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality announced that the bridge appears as 8 parts, and that the 8 of the parts are connected on the shores of Balat and Hasköy.
THE MAN MAN MADE THE GERMAN COMPANY

Sultan Abdulaziz gave the construction of the bridge to the German MAN company in 1909. The Germans found that 80-85-meter feet were needed for the bridge, but because the technology of the time was not appropriate, it was decided to build the bridge over the water with the pontoons. The parts produced in Germany were combined at Hasköy Karaağaç Shipyard. Bridge, 27 April 1912'de entered into service with a ceremony.
