New metro line on the Bosphorus

New metro line to the Bosphorus: The button was pressed for the Istinye leg of the metro line from Yenikapı to Maslak. The button was pressed for a new metro line in order to reduce the traffic density in the Bosphorus. The works will start for the "Sarıyer, AyazağaİTÜ- İstinye Rail System Project" announced by Istanbul Metropolitan Mayor Kadir Topbaş during the local election period. The metro line from Yenikapı to Maslak will have new connections from ITU Ayazaga station. Coming from Seyrantepe and passing through Ayazağa, the line will descend to İstinye next to İstinye Park AVM and İMKB after Istanbul Technical University station. In this way, the Bosphorus will be surrounded by a metro network.

Within the scope of the works initiated by the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Transportation Planning Directorate, work will be carried out to determine the route and line-based transportation studies and station locations of the metro line, which is about 8 kilometers long. Within the scope of the 240-day study, three different routes will be prepared and it will be determined at which points the station will be located. The new metro network is also aimed at reducing the Bosphorus traffic of the European Side.
