The tender for the wharf investment planned for the Ro-Ro ships to berth in İzmir Alsancak Port was canceled. It was reported that the tender was canceled on the grounds that the administrative specifications were not appropriate.

Transport to be made
The General Directorate of TCDD opened a tender last month for the determination of the condition of the berths and the construction of new berths. Within the scope of the tender opened on August 6, it was envisaged that the 20-22 berths at Alsancak Port would be determined and the 10-19 berths would be postponed. In addition, within the scope of the tender, 127-meter Ro-Ro dock and 450-meter dock application projects will be made. However, the tender was canceled due to the inappropriate administrative specifications.

With the tender, it was planned that the Ro-Ro ships would approach the Port of Izmir. In this context, last month, Izmir Chamber of Commerce, Imeak Chamber of Maritime Chamber of Izmir, TCDD Izmir Alsancak Port Directorate, 3rd Regional Directorate of Transport, Aegean Customs and Trade Directorate managers held a meeting and agreed on the arrival of Ro-Ro and Ro-Pax ships. There was. It was envisaged that the transportation of Ro-Ro ships, passengers, trucks and cars together.
