InnoTrans Fair started in Germany

InnoTrans Fair started in Germany: The International Railway Technologies, Systems and Vehicles Fair (InnoTrans), held in Berlin, the capital city of Germany, started with the participation of 55 thousand 2 companies from 758 countries.

Companies participating in InnoTrans, which is held biennially at the ExpoCenter in Berlin, showcase innovations in rail transport, equipment, systems and vehicles. This year is the 10th fair held from 55 countries, including Turkey also includes 2 thousand 758 companies attending.

Trade with the Republic of Turkey State Railways (TCDD), Turkey Locomotive Co. (TÜLOMSAŞ) and Turkey Wagon Industry AŞ (TÜVASAŞ) found that between 25 Turkish companies will participate in the exhibition. 145 vehicles of various companies will be introduced in the open area at the fair and the rail area specially prepared for this fair.

It was reported that the participation rate of InnoTrans increased by 10 percent compared to two years ago, and the rate of foreign companies participating in the fair increased by 61 percent. Argentina, Morocco, Belarus and Lithuania are among the countries that joined InnoTrans for the first time this year, which was first organized in 1996.

In addition to the global players of the sector, 21 industry association and research institutions from 35 countries are also present.

Christian Göke, the General Manager of the fairground company Messe Berlin, stated in a written statement that the InnoTrans fair has been growing since 1996, when it started to be held.

Pointing out that InnoTrans has turned into the platform of the train industry in a record time, Göke noted that the increase of companies participating in the fair has exceeded the number of previous years.

Approximately 26 thousand people are expected to visit the fair, which will remain open to sector representatives until September 130. The fair will be open to everyone on September 27-28.
