A train set will come to İZBAN every month from Ankara: Sebahattin Eriş, General Manager of İZBAN, said that 1 triple train set will be put into service in İzmir every month. Eris said, “We currently have 9 3-train sets. As of Monday, 1 more triple train set will be activated. Thus, İZBAN will serve with 10 train sets ”. Stating that they have not received any complaints about İZBAN, Eriş said, “There is no problem with İZBAN. Our vehicle numbers are sufficient. In fact, one train set will come from Ankara every month, ”he said.
While intercity passenger trains using the existing İZBAN line at peak hours in the morning and evening and freight wagons carrying cargo from the port are planned to be integrated into the transfer system in Cumaovası, the initiatives carried out by TCDD and Ankara continue. If this planned revision is implemented, the voyage intervals realized as 10-12 minutes on the existing line can be reduced to 4 minutes.
