İzmir Port and China's Xiamen Port have become Sibling Ports: A sister port protocol has been signed between İzmir Port and Xiamen Port of People's Republic of China.
4 August 2014 On Monday, Xiamen city delegation met with Turan YALÇIN, Port Operation Manager, to sign Alsancak Port and Sister Port Agreement with TCDD officials. It was emphasized that it is important to exchange information on the development of the best practices and strategies in the maritime services field, which are agreed between both public ports and to facilitate trade.
The Brother Port Protocol, which was prepared in Turkish, Chinese and English languages, entered into force with signatures.
