İstanbul-Bursa-İzmir Highway Project full throttle

Istanbul-Bursa-Izmir Motorway Project full gas: The period of transportation between Istanbul and Izmir will be reduced to 3,5 hours.
Efforts are continuing to open the “Build-Operate-Transfer Project of Istanbul-Bursa-İzmir (Including Izmit Gulf Crossing and Connection Roads) Highway”, which will reduce the duration of transportation between Istanbul and Izmir, to 3,5.
The physical realization of the project has reached 46 percent in the part up to Bursa and 36 percent in the whole.
Bursa Governor Münir Karaloğlu, along with the deputy Mustafa Öztürk and journalists, made examinations on the Gebze-Orhangazi-İzmir Highway. According to the information given by İsmail Kartal, the Highways Public Private Sector Partnership Regional Manager, who briefed the Governor Karaloğlu at the Regional Directorate building, a total of 384 kilometers of highway projects, 49 kilometers of highways and 433 kilometers of connection roads, continues at full speed.
DAILY 4 MILLION SAVES DOLLARS
Noting that the total $ 10 billion project is larger than the annual budget of 50 countries, Kartal underlined that 4 million dollars are spent daily for the project. According to the information provided by Ismail Kartal, in the first stage, tower caisson foundations were built in the dry pool in the Suspension Bridge South Site. In the tower foundations placed in their final locations, tower anchorage base and tie beam manufacturing works have been completed. Suspension bridge steel tower blocks were started to be installed on 08 July 2014 and 80 meters from sea level was reached during the assembly works. In addition, Suspension Bridge deck, main cable steel manufacturing and special bridge elements manufacturing works continue in accordance with the work schedule.
SAMPLE TUNNEL TUNNEL BELT CONCRETE PERCENTAGE 94 LEVEL
Excavation works were completed in both tubes in Samanlı Tunnel, and 94 level was reached in tunnel arch concrete works. Piling works at the entrance and exit portals of Selçukgazi Tunnel were completed and tunnel excavation work was started and 22 meter progress was achieved. Tunnel excavations in the 4 mirror in the entrance and exit areas of the Belkahve Tunnel are continuing, with a total of 860 meters progress.
In the North and South Approach Viaducts, the North Approach Viaduct 253 meters was completed at the level of the beam beam, while the South Approach Viaduct with one thousand 380 meters in elevation and deck installation is in progress. In the reinforced concrete viaducts, the 12 units in the Gebze-Bursa section and the 2 pieces in the Kemalpaşa Distinction-İzmir section are progressing rapidly in the 14 pieces. In Gebze-Orhangazi-Bursa section and in Kemalpaşa Distinction-İzmir section, the construction works of earthworks, large and small art structures are continuing. Earthquakes on various kilometers are continuing.
ASMA BRIDGE WILL FINISH IN 2015
The construction of the Gebze Orhangazi İzmir Motorway Project, which has been announced as 7 years, is aimed to be completed by the end of 2015, in the Izmit Bay Crossing Suspension Bridge, Gebze Gemlik Section and Kemalpaşa Junction. The project will extend to 2016 due to the difficulties that may be experienced in the Selçukgazi Tunnel. However, it is expected that it will take place until the first 2016 months of 6.
5,17 BILLION DOLPARDS
As of today, 46% physical realization has been achieved in Gebze-Orhangazi-Bursa and Kemalpaşa Distinction-İzmir sections. On the whole highway, 36 percent realization was achieved. A total of 1,63 billion TL was spent for the project by 1,41 billion dollars by the company and 5,17 billion TL by the administration for expropriation.
Bursa Governor Münir Karaloğlu pointed out that Bursa is located in the center of the road and connects Bursa to Istanbul and İzmir, “There is no problem in expropriation. $ 4 million is spent daily. This country spends 8 million TL daily without spending from the public budget. This makes us extremely happy, it's a great effort. The project continues at full speed without any problem. ”
PROJECT DETAILS
The length of the “Istanbul-Bursa-İzmir (İzmit Bay Crossing and Connection Roads Including Motorway Build-Operate-Transfer Project”) was calculated as 384 kilometers, 49 kilometers of motorways and 433 kilometers of connection roads.
The project starts with a bridge junction (2,5 × 2 lanes) that will be formed approximately 5 kilometers after the Gebze Köprülü Junction on the Anatolian Highway to Ankara direction and ends at the existing Bus Terminal Junction on the İzmir Ring Road.
In the work of İzmit Bay Crossing Suspension Bridge, which is constructed with 252 meters of tower height and 35,93 meters of deck width, 550 meters of middle span and a total length of 2 meters, is the fourth largest suspension bridge in the world. and anchorage block excavations have been completed in the South Anchorage Region, while concrete production continues.
Tower caisson foundations of the bridge were completed as a result of two-stage work. On the tower foundations placed in their final positions, tower anchorage base and tie beam manufacturing works have ended. Suspension bridge steel tower blocks assembly started on 8 July. In assembly works, 80 meters from sea level has been reached. The work on manufacturing of decked, main cable steel and special bridge elements continues in accordance with the work schedule.
In Samanlı Tunnel, excavation works have been completed in two tubes, each of which is 3 thousand 510 meters, and the level of 94 percent has been reached in tunnel arch concrete works.
In the Selçukgazi Tunnel, piling works at the entrance and exit portals of two 250-meter-long tubes were completed and tunnel excavations were initiated and 22 meters of progress were made.
In Belkahve Tunnel, tunnel excavations continue in 610 mirrors in the entrance and exit sections of two tubes, each 4 thousand meters long. Here, 860 meters of progress has been achieved.
Within the scope of the project, the North Approach Viaduct 253 meter length was completed at the level of the beam beam and elevation and decking of the South Approach Viaduct at a thousand 380 meters were continuing.
In the reinforced concrete viaducts, the 12 in the Gebze-Bursa section and the 14 viaduct in the Kemalpaşa Ayrımı-İzmir section are progressing rapidly.
The construction period of the project was determined as 7 year. By the end of next year, it is aimed to complete the construction works at İzmit Bay Crossing Suspension Bridge, Gebze-Gemlik section and Kemalpaşa Distinction-İzmir section.
85 in the expropriations on the route, the Gebze-Orhangazi-Bursa and Kemalpaşa Distinction-Izmir sections where the construction works continued, the 46 physical realization was achieved.
The 1,63 billion-dollar business was done by the company that undertook the work. The administration has spent 1,41 billion liras on expropriations. For the project, 5,17 billion pounds were spent.
