Bosphorus Bridge Project Continues at Full Speed: Governor Orhan Düzgün stated that the Boğazköprü project, which was initiated in order to provide a road entrance worthy of Kayseri, which is an important junction point in the north and south directions and which is an important junction point in the north and south directions, is continuing with great speed. He said that the project is aimed to be completed in a shorter time than anticipated and put into service at the end of October.
In his statement, Governor Düzgün said that Boğazköprü Group bridges do not only concern Kayseri in terms of transportation, but also many drivers and citizens because they are on the transit route of our city.
Noting that Kayseri, which is located on the historical Silk Road and at the crossing point of cultures, especially trade, still maintains this importance today, Governor Düzgün said that it is the main entrance gate of the city in the west, south and north directions and also connects the country between east and west He stated that Boğazköprü Group Bridges undertake an important function in terms of transportation.
Stating that the 1957th Regional Directorate of Highways started a work last year in order to ensure that the bridges, which have been in service since 6, continue to function in a much safer and traffic-friendly manner, Governor Düzgün gave the following information:
“There were structural damages, concrete spills and deep cracks on the bridges over the years. For this reason, work has been started for the urgent renewal of the bridges. As of today, Sarımsaklı bridges have been completely completed, while construction of bored piles, foundations, side piers, middle piers and beams in Boğazköprü bridges continues. The bridges serving as 2 lanes will continue to serve as 3 lanes when the project is completed. Our 6th Regional Directorate of Highways teams, from their workers to their engineers, are working hard in order to complete the bridge, which is so important for Kayseri, as soon as possible. Although the duration of the tender expires in 2015, the project will be completed on October 30, 2014 if there is no major setback. "
Stating that when the bridge and road works are completed, a safe and beautiful entry point will be created in Kayseri, Governor Düzgün also thanked the drivers using the Northern Ring Road for their patience and wished them an accident-free journey.
