Alstom withdrew from the Casablanca Light Rail Network contract

Alstom withdraws from the Casablanca Light Rail System Network contract: Alstom announced that they have withdrawn from their contract with Casa Tram for the maintenance of the light rail network in Casablanca.

Casa Tram RATP Dev, a consortium established between Algerian Deposit and Management Fund (CDG) and holding company Transinvest This consortium has signed a contract with 90 million € in July 2012 and with this contract Ain Diab from Ennassim 'and took over the operation and maintenance of Hat 30,7 up to Facultés.

Alstom had previously provided rail system vehicles for this line, undertook electrification and signaling of the line and signed a contract with Casa Tram for maintenance of the line. According to Alstom's announcement, a decision was made to withdraw from the contract due to some issues that could not be resolved on a contractual basis.
