AK Party Yalova Deputy Temel Coşkun said about the bridge overpass project planned to be carried out in Dörtyol, “I have followed the process from the construction phase of the project to the tender process with our Minister, General Manager of Highways and 14th Regional Director of Highways,” he said.
Coşkun told reporters that the tender for the bridge crossing would be carried out by the General Directorate of Highways.
Coşkun stated that he met with the Minister of Transport, Maritime Affairs and Communications Lütfi Elvan and said:
“I know that the construction of this intersection, which significantly affects the entrance and exit to Yalova and will also ease the traffic of Yalova, closely follows and awaits the Yalova public opinion. The traffic density problem of Dörtyol Junction, which extends and affects the city center especially during the summer months, affects us all. For this reason, we also discussed with our Prime Minister and Minister that we urgently need the arrangement to be made here. We had some talks and initiatives in Ankara to realize the project as soon as possible. I followed the process from the construction phase of the project to the tender process with our Minister, General Manager of Highways and 14th Regional Director of Highways and I continue to do so. At the point we reached, we accelerated the tender preparation works. In the coming days, construction works will start after the tender process. The problem in Dörtyol will be eliminated as soon as possible.
