Karaman-Konya high speed train line will come into service in 2015: Transport, Maritime Affairs and Communications Minister Lütfi Elvan met with the press members at the Police Station and reviewed their transportation investments in Karaman. Transport, Maritime Affairs and Communications Minister Lütfi Elvan stated that the high-speed trains between Karaman and Konya, which are under construction, will start before the project completion date, 2017. Transport, Maritime and Communications Minister Lütfi Elvan, who came to Karaman for a series of visits and investigations, met with the members of the press at the Police Station and reviewed their transportation investments in Karaman. Minister Lütfi Elvan stated that after a journalist reminded that the train, which was under construction between Karaman and Ereğli, was rumored that the train would continue on its way in Ereğli, these allegations were unfounded.

OPENED ONE YEAR

Minister Elvan stated that the high-speed train will reach Ereğli in 2016 and said, “We know that we have been awarded the tender for the high-speed train project in Karaman-Ereğli-Ulukışla. For this reason, we will start the construction this year if there is no setback. Our high-speed train will also stop in Ereğli. There is no problem about this. Maybe we can open it before 2017. Now the high-speed train project works between Karaman and Konya have approached Çumra. Our target was to realize the high speed train opening between Karaman and Konya in 2016. But we took it a year ago. Hopefully, we will open the high-speed train line between Karaman and Konya in 2015. ” she pointed out.

DIVIDED ROADS ARE ON THE ROAD

Minister Elvan is concerned with the double road works under construction between Karaman and Ereğli, 'We will reach Ayrancı by the end of this year. The section until Ayrancı will be completed. In 2015, we will complete the part between Ayrancı and Ereğli. For this reason, I hope you will have the opportunity to travel on the road divided from Karaman to Eregli in the summer of 2015. We have many projects in Karaman as a highway. We are trying to complete these projects within 2 years, "he explained.

PROJECTS WILL BE COMPLETED IN TWO YEARS

Minister Elvan said, “As of now, we have a project stock of approximately one billion liras. We have committed that we will complete all of these projects within two years. Do not hesitate and worry about this matter. Regardless of which side you look at, the southern exit, eastern exit and western exit of Karaman has a construction site. There are studies all around. These studies continue. You know, we started the Karaman Ring Road. This year, we will complete the earthworks of the 12 kilometers section. I am already giving the date. Hopefully we will open this part of the ring road before May 2015. We will start the remaining part. On the other hand, I hope we will start the route between Ereğli and Konya road. Of course, our work on it continues, ”he explained.
