Turkmenistan-Kazakhstan-Iran railway network will be opened soon

The Turkmenistan-Kazakhstan-Iran railway network will be opened soon: Turkmenistan wants to open the Kazkaistan-Turkmenistan-Iran railway line, which it will conclude in the North-South transportation corridor in October this year. Speaking at the Cabinet of Ministers held yesterday, President Berdimuhamedov instructed the relevant authorities to complete the construction of the line in question by October. The Turkmen leader noted that the work should be started from now to include a high level foreign delegation in the opening ceremony of this line.

Uzen-Gızılgaya-Bereket-Etrek-Gürgen railway line (Kazakhstan-Turkmenistan-Iran), the foundation of which was laid in 2007, will open the Central Asian countries to the Persian Gulf. In addition, this line will bring great convenience to the countries in the region in freight transport. Last year, Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan parts of this line were merged. Turkmenistan President Gurbanguli Berdimuhamedov and Kazakhstan President Nursultan Nazarbayev attended the opening ceremony.
