Ören, in a statement to the AA correspondent, regarding the latest situation of the railway between Kurtalan and Siirt and the new airport to be built in Gürgöze Köyün in Kurtalan district, Ministry of Transport Infrastructure Investments General Manager Dr. During his meeting with Mustafa Kaya and Railways Department Head Ferzan Gökerk Küçük, he said that he received information about the latest status of the projects. Ören noted that the previous 22-kilometer railway Project Implementation Tender was canceled due to the lack of sufficient number of companies and that it will start within 2 months as a result of the arrangements made in the tender conditions.
Reminding that the work on the new airport continues Oren, said:
“If it is about our new airport, the EIA Report process continues. Project Implementation Tender process will begin in approximately 2 months. We are working intensively to solve Siirt's transportation problems. Railway and new airport project are very important projects of vital importance for Siirt. With the completion of these projects, it will be more comfortable for the investor to invest in Siirt. "
