Metrobüse hour adjustment hike on the agenda

Time-adjusted hike to the metrobus is on the agenda: Different fare models are being worked on to reduce the density on the metrobus line. In order to spread the intensity throughout the day, it is planned to keep the fee high, especially during peak hours.

Although Metrobüs is an alternative for Istanbul traffic, the increasing number of passengers forces İETT to produce different solutions. Some 800 thousand passengers per day were transported or even so far certain improvements were made. A barrier was added to the entrance and exit of the station to prevent pedestrians from landing. On the roadsides and stations, wire fences were made to prevent pedestrians from crossing the road. Vehicles are guided along the route with maximum speed warnings. Vehicles exceeding the speed limit are monitored from the command and control center and warned by the drivers via vehicle computers. Road maintenance is carried out periodically. In busy stations, the passenger entrances and exits are separated and the stairs are widened. Reflectors are placed between the strips in order to prevent lane violations, reducing the risk of collision of vehicles. The billboards that were on the side and prevented passenger landings were taken to the inner parts of the stations.

DOUBLE DOOR BRIDGES COMING

Existing arrangements are not sufficient for the BRT line. For this reason, a report titled rob Road and Passenger Safety in the Metrobus System lar was prepared by Metrobüs Management Directorate in order to produce different solutions to the problems. According to the report; Zincirlikuyu passenger waiting area will be expanded. All stations will be fully accessible. With double-door vehicles, road safety will be increased by preventing passengers from getting on their way in emergencies and reverse flow of Metrobus vehicles. When the vehicles are uniformized, the boarding points will be standardized and safety boarding will be provided. It is aimed to reduce the station and in-passenger passenger density by establishing a wage modeling system that will allow the intensity of peak hours to spread throughout the day. With the creation of Yenibosna and Darulaceze return ramps, alternative lines will be commissioned and travel demand at the busy stations will be met.
