Support from Şehirder to the Raybüs Project

Support for the Raybüs Project from Şehirder: City and Cultural Research Association (ŞEHİRDER) President Murat Ertaş welcomed Erzurum Metropolitan Mayor Mehmet Sekmen's idea of using the existing railroad as a light rail system, as the association has prepared a Raybüs Project in this regard. stated that they are happy because of it.

ŞEHİRDER President Ertaş, in the first days of his project on the project they prepared for the Mayor Mehmet Sekmen'ya better talked about the Mayor and the Mayor stated that they have learned about the details of the project prepared by explaining the Raybüs Project.

In March, TCDD Operation Manager Yunus Yeşilyurt'u in the project prepared in accordance with the information we have received a passenger train a day (East Express) to use the passive railway line to activate, to facilitate urban transportation both from the Horasan to Aşkale to connect the settlements on the railway route with each other and Ertas said that they prepared a project in order to bring vitality to thermal tourism. Raybüs, such as the bus on the track üs Hilalkent, Veterans, Şükrüpaşa, Gar (Migros), Old bus station, Stadium, Dadaşkent, Şifa Hospital, Organized Industrial Zone on the existing railway, Raybüs stops to Ilica points to facilitate transportation on this route. As far as we know, Raybüs flights are used actively between İzmir-Aydın- Nazilli, Ankara-Kırıkkale, Sivas-Divriği, Amasya-Suluova, Kayseri-Adana, Kütahya-Eskişehir, and it is aimed to be used in many cities in the near future. The project, which will be carried out with the cost of the tool called Raybüs, without any extra cost.

The second phase of the project is to put two separate ring expeditions from the funicular to the stadium, one of which is to be connected to the ETÜ, the new bus station and the airport and one to the Atatürk University Faculty of Medicine, the Regional Research Hospital and the Palandöken Ski Center. Just like the funicular that connects Karaköy to Istiklâl Caddesi ler In this way, the city will be connected to the west of the city directly, and all the people of the city will benefit, and those who come to Erzurum by plane or bus will easily reach the city, universities and hospitals. Likewise, it will be easier to go from the city and especially from the universities to the airport and the bus terminal. At this stage of the project, a light rail system should be installed from Palandöken to the airport. Considering the city campus, the applicability of the project is quite easy.
The third phase of the project is to organize a much smaller number of flights per day than to connect the districts to the city, and to provide the tourism and urban people with thermal tourism, from Ashkale to Khorasan. This stage of the project is on the existing railway and does not require any additional costs.

We believe that by organizing frequent flights in short distances, we can add serious added value to the traffic, transportation and social life of the city. As ŞEHİRDER, we would like to thank the Erzurum Governor's Office, Erzurum Metropolitan Municipality and TCDD Directorate for this project.
