Weekly rail traffic volume increased by 6,0 percent in the USA

Weekly rail traffic volume increased by 6,0 percent in the US: The total volume of rail transport in the US for the week ending June 7 increased 6,0 percent compared to the same week the previous year, reaching 562 wagons.

According to the data announced weekly by the US Railway Association (AAR), wagon and freight transportation increased by 5,3 percent in the same period, while Intermodal transportation increased by 292 percent to 924.

In the same week, rail transportation in Canada increased by 8,2 percent to 142 wagons, while in Mexico it became 246 wagons with a 0,2 percent decrease.

Thus, the total rail transport of North America increased by 6,2 percent to 731.
