Uludağ longing is over

The longing for Uludağ is over: The cable car line between Bursa and Uludağ, the renovation work that continued for 19 months, was put into service the next time. Uludag can be reached in 8-12 minutes thanks to the trips on the new poles and wires with modern cabinets for 13 people. Mayor Altepe: “Our citizens can travel comfortably by following the panoramic view of Bursa and Uludağ”.

The cable car, the symbol of Bursa, started its journey with its new face. The cable car line between Uludağ and Bursa city center, one of the important centers of skiing and winter tourism, was modernized with new cabins, wires and poles. In fact, the campaigns were started again after 19 months of work. The renewal of the cable car line was started after the last flight on November 1, 2012 in the old system. Metropolitan Municipality teams dismantled the poles and wires on the Teferrüç-Sarıalan route after disabling the old cabins. Following this, the line was modernized with new poles and wires and put into service. In fact, in the flights that are restarted after 19 months, reasonable cabins are used for technological innovations.

Metropolitan Mayor Recep Altepe, who was present in the investigations at Teferrüç Station, reminded journalists that the ropeway was put into service on October 29, 1963. Stating that this transportation system was deactivated 49 years after its establishment in order to renew it, Altepe said, “Our cable car started to carry passengers again half a century after its establishment. Due to the unfavorable weather conditions, asphalt work and landscaping could not be done. We will make our official opening by removing these shortcomings. ” Touching on the features of the new system, Altepe informed that passenger carrying capacity was increased 12 times compared to the past.

Expressing that it is possible to go to Uludağ in 8-12 minutes with 13-person cabins, Altepe explained: “Our citizens can travel comfortably by following the panoramic view of Bursa and Uludağ. The transportation fee is 1, 10 liras as we applied five years ago. Our aim; all citizens can use this cable car. We know that 95 percent of the people of Bursa do not use the cable car. We declared Wednesday as 'public day'. Our citizens can go to Uludağ these days with a fee of five liras by paying half of the usual tariff. Uludag became chirpy with cable car services. This time with Bursa and Turkey, in particular, we will have contributed to the economy, including tourism. "
