Uganda plans to build railway contracts with Chinese companies

Uganda plans to build rail contracts with Chinese companies: Uganda plans to expand its rail network and will be launching 8 billion-dollar tenders for engineering, procurement and construction projects. In this context, the country made a deal with the Chinese Government and granted priority to six companies.

Uganda plans to build a railway line from Kenya to Rwanda. The second phase is the extension of the railway line connecting the city of Gulu to South Sudan in the North.
