According to the information obtained, while shepherd Hasan Ekinci (43) returned to his house with the animals he grazed at about 19.30 in the evening, he remained under the train numbered 247 in the Izmir-Ödemiş Suburban Line (İZBAN) under the direction of the mechanic MA. While Ekinci, who threw himself off the tracks, was seriously injured, 130 of the 20 sheep and goats in the herd were destroyed. It was learned that the shepherd, who was taken to the 9 Eylül University Research and Application Hospital, had a life-threatening risk. Torbalı District Gendarmerie Command teams, who took statements from eyewitnesses, detained mechanic MA. After the gendarmerie's investigation on the scene, the animals that were destroyed were removed from the scene.

The mechanic MA, whom the gendarmerie referred to, said, “When I saw the herd on the rails, I braked. I could not stop because the distance was so close. I'm sorry. ”

Gendarmerie launched an investigation into the accident.
