Self-parking vehicles are coming

Self-parking vehicles are coming: Volvo Car Group has started for the great project in Sweden. This project is shaped within the framework of the vision of 'Zero accident, zero death' in 2020. This project of the Volvo Car Group is called 'Drive Me'. The project includes 2017 autonomous Volvo's tested in daily driving conditions on public roads until 100.
This technology, which is realized with vehicles using GPS, navigation, camera, radar and sensors, is already touring the city of Gothenburg in Sweden and Autopilot technology is used by pressing the button on the steering wheel.
The first vehicle will be XC 90
The most important factor that makes the 'Drive Me' project unique is the involvement of lawmakers, transportation authorities, a big city, a vehicle manufacturer and real customers. Customers drive this ride in about 50 kilometers of typical highways with classic motorway conditions and frequent traffic queues selected in and around Gothenburg. The vehicles in the pilot project are officially defined by the Federal Highway Research Institute (BASt) in Germany as 'High Autonomous Driving Cars' (HighlyAutonomous Cars). In practice, this means that responsibility is delivered to the vehicle. The driver is expected to check the course from time to time. These 100 Volvo will be new models developed on the company's next Scalable Product Architecture (SPA). The first SPA model will be the new Volvo XC90 to be launched this year.
