Public Transport Network Plan for Eastern Province approved in Saudi Arabia (Special Report)

Saudi Arabia's Public Transport Network Plan for the Eastern Province was approved: In May, the Council of Ministers of Saudi Arabia 19 approved the integrated public transport network plan for the Eastern Province. The plan includes the light rail and bus network.

The light rail system planned for the eastern province of the country will consist of two lines. Someone will head south from Tarout Island, crossing Al Qatif, Dammam and Dhahran to Al Khubar, the King Fahd Road linking Dammam to Bahrain and joining Al Qatif and Dammam. The second line will go north-east along King Fahd Road in Dammam to King Fahd International Airport.

The cost of building the integrated network is estimated to be approximately US $ 16 billion.
