10 signed an alliance agreement between the Saudi Railway Company and Etihad Rail in May. These committees will be responsible for the implementation of a general program aimed at establishing standards in the technical and operational fields to be implemented in the railways developed among the GCC countries. These standards will be established to ensure the implementation of consistent standards and technologies in all GCC countries.
The Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries consist of a group of countries on the Arabian Peninsula, which includes Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates. GCC was established on May 26, 1981.
