Kdz. Ereğlide high school students made a rail system project: In the Ereğli district of Zonguldak, Mehmet Ali and Kadri Yılmaz Anatolian High School students made a project called Zonguldak Ereğli Rail System (ZE-RAY) to produce an environmentally friendly solution to the traffic problem within the scope of TÜBİTAK 4006 Science Fair.

Kdz. TUBITAK 4006 Science Fair was opened at Ereğli Mehmet Ali and Kadri Yılmaz Anatolian High School. 7 in the field of physics, 4 in literature, 5 in mathematics, 8 in chemistry, 8 in biology, 12 in philosophy, 2 in geography, 4 in foreign language, 4 in foreign language area, Zonguldak Ereğli Rail system ZE-RAY project received great attention.

54 students and 162 consultant teachers were involved in the preparation of the 21 project in the fair. Fair; students Ayşenur Güney Tuğba Hastürk, Sibel İnal, Zafer Ölmez, Burcu Yavuz and their teachers Özcan Çakırgöz, joined the project with the name ZE-RAY. Providing information about the ZE-RAY project Ayşenur Güney student, aims to provide cheap and environmentally friendly transportation in Eregli.

Explaining that the electrically operated rail system is a viable project, Günay said, “Zonguldak Ereğli Rail System is a complete environmental friend as it runs on electricity. Kdz. In order to make Ereğli an even more developed city, this tram system must be implemented in our district. Our tram starts from the village of Balı, continues from Devrek road separation, from Devrek road separation to Gülüç and from Devrek road separation to Kaynarca Housing Sapağı. We also have stops on these routes. It has a capacity of carrying 280 passengers at a time. ” said.
