First Suburban Train Line in Kayseri

First Suburban Railway Line in Kayseri: In accordance with the agreement reached between Kayseri Metropolitan Municipality and TCDD, suburban line will be operated on the existing railway between Yeşilhisar and Sarıoğlan District.

Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Mehmet Özhaseki said that the negotiations with the General Directorate of TCDD have ended positively. Özhaseki said, “In order to relieve the transportation problem of the city, we will continue to operate suburban trains on the existing railway that provides transportation in Kayseri-Adana and Kayseri-Sivas directions by the state railways. For this suburban line, a 4.5 kilometer 'Fishbone line' will be added to the Organized Industrial Zone. Thus, workers, students and citizens going from the city center, the districts to the Organized Industrial Zone and the businesses in this region will benefit from the public transportation service by rail. ”
