Compressed nitrogen was used to slide the subway into place

Pressed nitrogen was used to slide the subway to replace the subway: Rochester was deployed in the UK using reinforced nitrogen-filled air jacks in the 800-ton reinforced concrete underpass. This 28 m length, 7,6 m width and 4 m height was placed in an existing rail fill between 18-21 April. The liquid nitrogen hydraulic vents in the air jacks helped lift the structure while pushing it in place.
