Russian Railways's ferrous metal shipments drop slightly in January-March

Russian Railways's ferrous metal shipments fell slightly in the January-March period: According to the Russian state statistics committee Russtat, shipments of ferrous metal, coal, petroleum, fertilizer and timber made by Russian rail monopoly Russian Railways (RZD) in the January-March period of 2014 293,9, which was recorded in the same period, has maintained its mt level.

In the first quarter of the year, RZD's ferrous metal shipments were 2,7 million mt, down 17,4 percent year on year, steel scrap shipments down 3,1 percent year on year, 2,7 million mt and coke shipments down 4,6 percent year on year. Fell to 2,8 million mt.
