Malatya high-speed train tender will be held within the year: Independent Industrialists' and Businessmen's Association (MUSIAD) Malatya Branch has taken action for the projects envisaged in Malatya. It was announced that the tender was made within the year.
Our suggestion is that the tender for the high-speed train project, which is closely monitored by the public and the business community in Malatya, takes place in the first half of 2014 and accelerate the physical investment.
Karahan Tunnel is of great importance especially in the transportation problems of Malatya. Due to the problems encountered in the excavations carried out, the tunnel work, which has been delayed for a long time to complete, has already overcome the technical problems and a budget transfer is expected.
Our recommendation is the transfer of the budget that will allow the completion of the Karahan Tunnel and connection roads.
FIRAT RAILWAY BRIDGE PROJECT ON ROAD TRANSPORTATION
Malatya has an intense business relationship with the Baskil district of Elazig connected to Malatya from the center of the highway by 73 km. This distance finds 100 km for the coastal villages of Baskil. It is estimated that Baskil is inhabited around 50 thousand in Malatya province and it is known that 30 of Malatya is produced in Baskil. This distance is reduced to 40 km and shortened by 60 km if the Euphrates Rail Bridge over Karakaya Dam Lake is used in such a way as to allow the passage of road vehicles. The shortening distance is around 40 km for Baskil coastal villages. It is estimated that around 12 Million TL fuel savings will be realized annually as well as saving time and social benefit. A technical project has been prepared by the Malatya Governorate for RUA Engineering and it has been revealed that the bridge can be used in highway transportation by fencing with an investment of approximately 22 Million TL including the reinforcement and connection roads to the bridge legs.

It was decided to establish logistics centers in certain provinces by State Railways.
Our recommendation is to include Malatya in its logistics centers considering its potential and location. In this context, the possibility of evaluating the Malatya Wagon Factory which is already idle is an important advantage.
