Efforts are underway to make the airports suitable for the use of disabled citizens. Within the scope of the "Barrier-Free Airport Project" implemented by the General Directorate of Civil Aviation, an Barrier-Free Airport Establishment certificate was awarded for the Muğla Milas / Bodrum, Samsun / Çarşamba, Amasya / Merzifon, Trabzon, Kayseri and Denizli / Çardak airports that fulfill the requirements.
Thus, 26 became the number of airports in the project.
In accordance with the certificates issued within the scope of the Barrier-Free Airport Project, the discount rates of the permits such as licenses and certificates to be paid by the relevant institutions operating in airports will be reduced by 15.
