In Germany the highway will be paid in 2016

Motorway in Germany will be tolled in 2016: German Transport Minister Alexander Dobrindt said that as of January 1, 2016 will begin to charge tolls on cars with foreign license plates.
Speaking to the “Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung” newspaper, Dobrindt stated that foreign vehicles using the highways in Germany will contribute to the financing used in the construction of the roads with this application.
Dobrindt stated that the tax limits for trucks are being extended by a thousand kilometers and that this will start as of July 1.
WEIGHT LIMIT CHANGED
Dobrindt noted that the weight limit of the pricing has also been lowered and that the fee previously charged from trucks over 12 tons will now be taken from trucks exceeding 7,5 tons and the application will be valid as of October 1.
Stating that they are in contact with neighboring countries on this issue, Dobrindt said, “I am trying to convince them. "It is justice that people who use the roads are responsible for their care."
Motorway tax, on the other hand, is expected to bring additional 2 billion euros annually. Currently, the annual toll from 12 tonnes of foreign plate trucks yields approximately 4 billion euros annually.
