With the commissioning of this line, which can be used by 1 million people a day, the travel time between Mecidiyeköy and Mahmutbey will decrease to 27 minutes. A citizen who gets on the metro from Mahmutbey will be able to reach Yenikapı in 39 minutes, Üsküdar in 48 minutes and Sabiha Gökçen Airport in 95 minutes, ”he said. Kadir Topbaş, Mayor of Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality, stated that they aim to reach the rail system line length to 2019 kilometers by the end of 400.
