Heliski, a type of sport that allows skiers to leave the hills by helicopter and slide from there, draws attention as a type of skiing that can be done in limited regions of the world. After Canada, Alaska, the Caucasus and the Himalayas, Erciyes will become the center of heliski enthusiasts.
The first attempt of heliskine, which is considered to be one of the extreme sports with high adrenaline, was carried out in Erciyes. Skiers and snowboarders dropped off on the slopes of Erciyes near the summit by helicopter slid down the steep slopes and landed in Tekir Region.
