Bursa High Speed Train Project: Transport, Maritime and Communications Minister Lütfi Elvan said, “We are breaking new ground in Bursa in the high speed train line. We will not only transport passengers by high speed train. We will also carry loads. This is extremely important for Bursa, ”he said.

Following the presentation of TCDD General Manager Süleyman Karaman about the Bursa high-speed train project after the examination he made with Deputy Prime Minister Bülent Arınç and Gürsu high-speed train site, Elvan said in his speech after the briefing that Bursa is an important province.

Elvan stated that when Bursa's development and growth goal is set, it should have a strong infrastructure of roads, railways and airways.

Stating that a developed city should definitely merge with the sea, Elvan said, "If these are provided, the spirit of entrepreneurship is high in that region and if the governments provide the necessary infrastructure support, there is no reason why that region and the region cannot develop."

Stating that Bursa is a province that contributes to the development and exports of the country, Elvan said:

“We are implementing two very important projects for Bursa. One of them is the Istanbul-Bursa-Izmir Highway. You know, we started working on this. I hope this is a technological wonder of the gulf crossing in the coming days. You will see a foundation of 70 meters under the sea. This is a great piece of technology. I hope it is one of the important projects that connects Izmir with Istanbul and Bursa on both sides with the Istanbul, Bursa and Izmir lines and provides the opportunity to reach Istanbul and Izmir from Bursa in a very short time. a project that will be the pride of Turkey. "

- "We are breaking new ground for Bursa in high speed train line"

Stating that the line that connects Bursa to Bilecik and the Istanbul-Ankara high-speed train route is also very important, Elvan continued his words as follows:

“We are breaking new ground for Bursa in the high speed train line. We will not only transport passengers by high speed train. We will also carry loads. This is extremely important for Bursa. In the Ankara-Eskişehir-Istanbul high-speed train, only passengers can be transported, but in addition to the passengers in this high-speed train, I hope the freight transport will take place from Bursa.

- "Our goal is to end these studies, hopefully by 2017"

Elvan continued his studies, said:

“Our goal is, hopefully, to end these works by 2017 and especially to complete the high-speed train project. These are not easy projects. Governments before us struggled for years, they could not finish a Bolu tunnel, which was a 3-kilometer-long tunnel. Today, we have sections of 9 kilometers here. The total tunnel length is over 32 kilometers. At that time, a 3-kilometer tunnel could not be completed, and for that remaining part, the governments at that time said, "Let's collect potatoes here or use it as a cold storage." Turkey, developing, growing, stronger, and will continue to strengthen. Our job is to work, to produce. From now on, we will continue to work, produce and serve our people. "

Brifingde, Ministry of Transport, Maritime Affairs and Communications Habib Soluk, Bursa Governor Munir Karaloğlu, Bursa Metropolitan Mayor Recep Altepe, AK Party Bursa Deputy Onder Matli was also present.
