Alstom receives operating approval for France Trains

Alstom receives business approval for French Trains: The Public Establishment of Railway Safety (EPSF) in Railway Safety has approved Alstom Régiolis to start commercial operation in the French regions.
To date, approximately 12 pieces of Régiolis train have been ordered in the 200 region.
Alstom has not yet planned to complete the certification phase in October 2013, and despite these delays, 22 foresees the launch of its first vehicles starting from April.
EPSF confirmed on March 21 that Régiolis' business authorization (AMEC) was issued.
AMEC has approved Régiolis for a maximum operating speed of 160 km / h. However, Alstom stated that it would be possible to accelerate to 200 km / h in units with four and three vehicles.
Delivery of new trains will continue until 2017.
Based on Alstom's Coradia Polyvalent platform, Régiolis trains are manufactured in both dual mode and electric models. The vehicles are delivered in a series of triple, quad and six vehicles, and the longest has a capacity of over 1000 passengers.
The SNCF and French regions have purchased a total of 216 Coradia Polyvalent train sets. 182 Regiolis kits were ordered for the regional TER service and Coradia Liner vehicles were purchased for the renewal of SNCF intercity trains.
