By the Federation of Traditional Sports of Turkey, Palandöken in Erzurum the sleigh race was organized in the locality and Zortep 6 from Kars joined the club.
Athletes competed for the championship on top of the mountain. When the ground was covered with ice, it sometimes caused the horses and sleds to slip. Sliding some of the sleighs into the security lane caused disqualification.
In the championship where the audience showed interest, Yukarı Yenice Atlı Sports Club ranked first, Selim Çıplaklı Village Doğan Pınar Atlı Sports Club ranked second and Altınbulak Equestrian Sports Club ranked third. In the championship, Atatürk University Equestrian Sports Club was chosen as the most gentleman of the team.
Trophies were given to the athletes at the ceremony.
Turkey Traditional Sports of Federation Vice President Ziya Gokalp Ceylan, said in a statement to reporters, as the federation said they conduct activities related to traditional sports in 10 disciplines, "Today in 2014 we held the traditional sleigh Turkey Championship.
