Hicaz Railway Hz. To the Prophet: TİKA President Çam visited the historical station of the Hejaz railway in Jordan. Çam: “When the pain in our region ends, there will be an opportunity to reach Europe and London with Hicaz Railway and Marmaray.”
Serdar Çam, President of the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TİKA), visited the historical station of the Hejaz railway in Jordan.
Having met with Salah Muflih El-Luzi, the General Manager of Jordan Hicaz Railways, Çam wishes mercy to everyone who contributed to the Hejaz railway and Hz. He expressed that he had great importance for reaching the Prophet.
Emphasizing that Hicaz railway is important in terms of transportation as well as its cultural and historical importance, Çam said, “When the pain in our region ends, there will be an opportunity to reach Europe and London with Hicaz Railway and Marmaray.”

Reminding that the first expedition on the Hejaz railway was made in 1911 and extending from Damascus to Mediye, Jordan General Manager of Hejaz Railways stated that he reduced the 45-day distance to 46 hours.
"Therefore, Hicaz is the most modern project of the period in terms of transportation and Hicaz railway is a revolution," said Luzi.
