A scrap locomotive purchased by Bolu Municipality from State Railways and two wagons were repaired and started to be exhibited in Karaçayır Park. Bolu Mayor Alaaddin Yılmaz stated that they want the children to recognize the means of transportation and said, “We asked for trains, ships and planes from the Ministry of Transport, Maritime Affairs and Communication. The train came in the first place. ”Bolu Municipality asked for trains, ships and planes from the Ministry of Transport, Maritime Affairs and Communications so that children can learn about transportation vehicles and use them for different purposes. In the first place, the locomotive taken from the State Railways was repaired and placed on the rails formed in the park in Karaçayır District. After the locomotive, which attracted the attention of citizens and children, two wagons brought two days ago were placed next to the locomotive with cranes. While they made the wagons ready for use as cafes and reading halls, they also added color to the park.
Stating that there is no railway, sea and air transportation in Bolu, Mayor Alaaddin Yılmaz said, “We asked for trains, ships and planes from the Ministry of Transport, Maritime Affairs and Communications so that children could learn these means of transportation. The train arrived in the first place and we placed it in the park. We plan to consider this train as a reading room and cafe. In this region, we will make a lake for water sports and this project has been approved. Many water sports can be done here. We will also take a plane to Bolu, which does not have an airport, and put it in Atatürk Forest Park or Köroğlu Park under construction. ”
