Great Moves in Public Transport in Kayseri: Metropolitan Municipality continues to take future steps in urban public transportation. On the one hand, new lines come into play in the Rail System, and on the other hand, the bus fleet is enlarged. In this framework, 5 new gas buses, 21 of which are gusseted, started to serve Kayseri.
Hayri Naziksoy, the Deputy Secretary General of the Metropolitan Municipality, stated that there was a serious relief in urban public transportation with new investments, and explained the investments made in this direction. Stating that the University Line will start serving, Naziksoy said, “In addition to the new investments in the rail system, 15 natural gas buses and five gusseted vehicles were purchased. A total of 16 vehicles started to serve in transportation.
With the commissioning of the rail system Ildem line and the commissioning of 21 buses, we observed that there was relief in transportation. Hopefully, with the commissioning of the University line on February 15, there will be a relief in the morning and evening hours called public hours in public transportation services. Besides, there is no problem in transportation other than the density outside of the morning and evening hours in Kayseri. Recent investments will bring great relief. The new buses are designed with environmentally friendly natural gas, air conditioning and low floors.
The vehicles purchased have the ability to approach the curb in three stages and take passengers. There are also special sections where people with disabilities can ride and sit comfortably. The people of Kayseri deserve the best of service. I wish our new vehicles to be beneficial and to provide accident-free services. ”
IN-SERVICE TRAINING CONTINUES
The Metropolitan Municipality continues to invest on the one hand to make transportation more modern and smooth, and on the other hand increases its staff's equipment through in-service training seminars. In this direction, Personal Development and Healthy Communication Seminar was held for the managers of the Metropolitan Municipality Bus Operator. Public Relations and Communication Trainer Özden Algan attended the seminar given by Kayseri Metropolitan Municipality Art and Vocational Training Courses (KAYMEK). The seminar will continue in the coming days with the participation of all the drivers.
