Ice climbing can be done now Palandöken: artificial ice climbing wall is done for domestic and foreign tourists in Palandöken Ski Center of Turkey's major ski resorts.
Turkey's first snow and the frozen artificial climbing wall at a height of about 10 meters of water and will climb the most famous climber in the world.
The finishing touches are being made on the artificial climbing wall, which is set up next to the XANADU Snow White Hotel in the ski center and will be opened tomorrow. Murat Altuğ Kargı, the general manager of the hotel, said that they are trying to create different social activities for local and foreign tourists coming to the ski center.
Stating that the world's famous mountaineer Tunç Fındık will perform the first climb to the natural climbing wall made with snow and water, Kargı continued as follows:
“We prepared an artificial ice climbing wall together with the famous mountaineers of our country and the world. Guests who prefer Palandöken will experience a different fun on the ice climbing wall if they wish. Our aim is to have all winter sports together in Palandöken and to make our guests do these sports. "
One of the climbers who made the ice climbing wall, ATAK Club athlete Mustafa Hanli said that it was difficult to build an ice climbing wall in cold weather.
Stating that they sprayed water on the snow masses placed on the climbing wall to freeze, Hanlı said, “A different activity will be provided to local and foreign tourists coming to Palandöken. "We covered the wire fences we put in the wall with snow and we try to freeze it with water."
Mountaineer Doğukan Çimagil, who made it possible to keep ice by spraying water on the climbing wall, stated that they were working in the coldest hours of the day and said, “While we work to keep the wall ice, ice molds form on us from time to time. It is a tough job, but a beauty will emerge ”.
