The Istanbul-Eskişehir YHT line is operational after 1.5 months: Testing has accelerated for the high-speed train that will take from Eskişehir to Istanbul in 1 hour and 50 minutes.
Transport, Maritime Affairs and Communications Minister Lütfi Elvan said that they want to commission the Eskişehir-Istanbul High Speed ​​Train (YHT) line as soon as possible. Elvan, who departed from Ankara with the Piri Reis Test Train to go to Bilecik to investigate the YHT line, which is under construction between Eskişehir and Istanbul, stopped by Eskişehir. He said that the line between Eskişehir and Istanbul can be completed in 1-1.5 months, so that citizens can reach Istanbul in 1 hour 50 minutes, maybe 2 hours from Eskişehir, and a citizen departing from Ankara can have access to Istanbul in 3 hours via Eskişehir. Elvan stated that while the Ankara-Istanbul YHT does not give a date, the tests continue. "I can't give a date for now, but let me express it, I will also meet with contractor friends on this line," said Elvan. Our goal is to be able to commission the Ankara-Istanbul YHT as soon as possible ”.
