It was decided to establish an artificial snow system in Ilgaz Mountain Yıldıztepe Ski Center due to the lack of snow due to insufficient snowfall.

Turkey under the influence of drought areas adversely affected by the lack of snow in Ilgaz important centers of winter tourism due to the inability to ski led authorities to take measures.

In the region where similar problems were not experienced in the previous years, it was decided to use artificial snow machines in order to be used in periods when the snow thickness was not suitable for skiing and to extend the winter tourism period.

Provincial Director of Culture and Tourism Mustafa Kemal Karatatar, in a statement to the AA reporter, said that they did not have any snow problems until this season at Yıldıztepe Ski Center on Mount Ilgaz.

Karatatar said that the measures to be taken in this direction should be taken in the ski resorts by considering the negative effects caused by the weather conditions:

We contacted the official of a company producing artificial snow machines and called to the region. The official stated that, as a result of the investigation in the region, an artificial snowing system, which will cost 2 million euros, can be made for the 1-meter track in Yıldıztepe.
