2013 revolution in railway transportation has been a year

2013 was a revolutionary year in railway transportation: TCDD General Manager Karaman stated that 2013 was a revolutionary year in terms of railway transportation.
The Republic of Turkey State Railways (TCDD) General Director Süleyman Karaman, said in a statement, Turkey recalling the Railway Law on the Liberalization of Transportation May 1, 2013 entered into force, "the law was enacted in 2013, was in terms of rail transport revolution in a year," he said.
Stating that railway transportation has become free with the law in question, Karaman said, “While TCDD carries out infrastructure services, train operation will be carried out by Türk Tren AŞ to be established. In addition, domestic and foreign companies will be able to operate their own trains, whether passenger or freight trains. "2013 will go down in history as the year TCDD's 157-year monopoly on the railway was lifted."
Stating that they will not benefit from the Marmaray project only as suburban transportation, Karaman said, "High speed trains and freight trains will also pass through here".

Karaman, Ankara-Eskisehir and Ankara-Konya after YHT lines between Eskisehir-Konya began to run the management of YHT.
Karaman, who stated that the first high-speed train ring was formed in a distance of approximately one thousand kilometers between Ankara-Konya-Eskişehir, said:
“We have brought together Mevlana and Yunus Emre friends by adding Eskişehir-Konya line to the Ankara-Eskişehir and Ankara-Konya lines where we operate YHT. Our first YHT ring was formed at a distance of about a thousand kilometers between Ankara-Konya-Eskişehir and Ankara. Within the scope of the Ankara-based core high-speed train network, construction work continues on the Ankara-Istanbul, Ankara-Sivas and Ankara-Bursa lines. We also laid the foundations of the Ankara-İzmir line this year. There, too, the work is in full swing. When all these lines are completed, 15 provinces and 36 million citizens will benefit from high speed trains. This is half the country's population. "
Emphasizing that the Eskişehir-Istanbul phase of the Ankara-Istanbul YHT Project is coming to an end, Karaman noted that Istanbul and Ankara will meet "high-speed" very soon.
