High Speed Train Line

Dent in the High Speed Train line: The High Speed Train (YHT) in Eskişehir caused a collapse in the railway line next to it due to the construction works of the urban underground passage line.

Due to the crash, the YHTs that made Eskişehir-Ankara and Eskişehir-Konya flights could not come to Eskişehir Station. Passengers waiting for Garda were transported to YHTs waiting about 2 kilometers away by buses. A collapse occurred in the morning hours on the railway line at the location of the destroyed Station bridge near Hoşnudiye Mahallesi Eskişehir Station, where the YHT urban underground crossing line works continued.

The collapse, which was stated to be caused by the work to take the YHT line underground, disrupted the YHT flights. YHTs that travel from Eskişehir to Ankara and Konya could not come to the station due to the collapse in the railway line. Passengers going to Ankara and Konya were put on buses from Eskişehir Train Station and taken to the YHTs waiting at the Muttalip level crossing in Şarhöyük District.

State Railways officials stated that the work continues at the place of the collapse, that the work will be completed in a short time and the YHTs will come to the station.
