National Train to be Tested in Eskisehir

National Train Will Be Tested in Eskişehir: The National Rail Systems Research and Test Center (URAYSİM), which will be established in Eskişehir, stated that the national train, which is planned to be on the rails in 2018, will be tested and certified.
URAYSİM Coordinator and Anadolu University (AU) Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Mustafa Cavcar told AA correspondent about the work of URAYSİM, which will be established in the Alpu district of Eskişehir within the scope of the "Rail Systems Center of Excellence" project carried out by AU. and said it was found in the USA.
In Turkey the Cavc describing the rail system of came to the forefront in recent years, "Turkey in recent years, Eskisehir-Ankara High Speed Train, which will be opened soon Eskisehir-Istanbul High Speed Train works, renewal of existing roads, rails entered a breakthrough as can be done locally. Although we have the talent, we have problems in domestic production. We should be able to make our own production, turn it into an industry and sell it abroad, but abroad wants to buy these trains tested and certified in terms of life safety ”.
The cost of testing the prototypes of the wagons and locomotives produced is very high and the cost of the train is paid at one tenth of the cost.
"We aş'yl to Turkey Locomotive and Engine Industry (TÜLOMSAŞ), Adapazarı'yl to, Sivası'yl the wagon, we manufacture locomotives, but export We live in very big trouble. With this center, we will ensure domestic safety and we will have certification in exports. Previously, to do this, we had to send our trains abroad for certification. Now the national train project has started.
If we take the national train to Germany or the Czech Republic, wouldn't it be to put some of our innovations and technologies in the hands of our competitors? We had to prevent this too. Thus, in Turkey, he was born the idea of let's do our own testing center. "
Cavcar stated that the work related to the center started in 2009 and that Anadolu University had requested to implement the project in 2010, and in 2012, the State Planning Organization provided a budget of 150 million lira as the initial investment cost and until the center was completed, the total budget amount was 240 million. He stated that it was lira.
- 400 kilometers per hour in the first test route in Turkey
Emphasizing that the project is the important pillar of 3, Cavcar stated that the first one is to perform a test path for test drives.
Providing information on the characteristics of the test path, Cavcar said:
“When we build this test track of about 50 kilometers, the train will be run continuously and we will be able to observe the fatigue of the train and its behavior on the road. More than a year of preparation for the tender was made. The test track in our center will be the first in the world to test trains at a speed of 400 kilometers per hour. It will be the first test route in the world to reach this speed. Its tender was completed in the summer. The company that won the tender is currently preparing the route of the road in Alpu. The test path will also be of 3 types. The first way will be a road where trains can accelerate to 400 kilometers per hour, the second to 200, and the third to 100 kilometers per hour, where tram-type vehicles are tested. "
Cavcar pointed out that the other important part of the project is the supply of devices for static and dynamic tests in the workshops and that the trains must pass at least 25 tests, “Very complex machines will be used. The technical specifications of this are finished, it will be reviewed for the last time by experts from Turkey and abroad, and the tender process will begin ”.
Cavcar emphasized that in the last phase of the project, research buildings, educational buildings, places to accommodate the team that will bring trains abroad to the tests, various departments of AU and laboratories will be built, emphasizing that the foundations of these buildings will be laid in the summer of 700 after the removal of the pasture feature on the 2014 decare land in Alpu. .
In Turkey, the rail system has grown in the fields scientist and Cavc voicing insufficient number of engineers, including technical personnel, including experts will be unveiled this centered about 160 to 500 staff will be employed.
Cavcar, who argued that the establishment of the center will bring a large foreign currency inflow to the economy, said: “In Germany, trains can be tested up to 160 kilometers per hour and in the Czech Republic up to 210 kilometers. Current trains can travel at a speed of 360-400 kilometers per hour. They are also trying these on existing roads. There are disadvantages to trying it on the road. So they can bring it to us for testing, there is such potential. There may be those who are afraid for the first certification, but trains that have entered mass production can be brought here. In addition, since we will be able to issue certificates to the trains produced by TÜLOMSAŞ, it will also be exported abroad ”.
- "Vital tests can be done"
Stating that the project will continue until 2018, Cavcar said, “Our national train will need to be tested for about 3 years. Our center will be activated during its testing phase. Vital tests can be done. Other tests that provide comfort to the train will be tried to be trained until 2018. Our national train will be tested in our own center, it is our goal. In other words, the national train will be built in Eskişehir and will be tested here. His certificate will also be in Eskişehir ”.
