The number of passengers carried on the Marmaras exceeded 6,5 million

The number of passengers carried in Marmaray has exceeded 6,5 million: TCDD General Manager Süleyman Karaman stated that more than 6,5 million passengers have been carried in Marmaray since the day it was put into service and said, "The interest of our citizens is pleased with us."
The Republic of Turkey State Railways (TCDD) General Director Süleyman Karaman, AA correspondent, said that thanks to the Marmaray Project considerable TCDD arrived at a place in the world.
Expressing that there are 10 trips per day in Marmaray every 216 minutes, Karaman said, “Citizens benefited from Marmaray for the first 15 days free of charge. There was a heavy passenger traffic at that time. Currently, 80 thousand people are served daily and this number is increasing day by day. We work intensely to prevent any problems and to allow our citizens to travel comfortably. Thank goodness everything is fine. ”
Noting that the number of passengers transported in Marmaray has exceeded 6,5 million since the day it was put into service, Karaman noted that most of them were “hop on board” from Sirkeci Station. Karaman said that over 20 passengers are served daily at Sirkeci Station.
Describing Marmaray as “a world under the ground”, Karaman said, “Marmaray is a project that we have been working on intensely, resulting from great efforts. Therefore, the interest of our citizens pleases us. ”
