Marmaray's Sirkeci station, which was announced to be temporarily closed due to density, was opened for use as of yesterday.

The Sirkeci station of the century project Marmaray, which was temporarily closed due to excessive density, was put into service. Sirkeci station was temporarily closed due to the density of passengers in Marmaray, where Ayrılık Çeşmesi, Üsküdar, Sirkeci, Yenikapı and Kazlıçeşme stations are located. Sirkeci Station was opened to citizens at noon yesterday. Passengers getting on from Üsküdar reached Sirkeci in 4 minutes.

DENSED FROM DENSITY

Sirkeci Station can be reached with a rather long pedestrian walkway from the entrance of Marmaray station. TCDD General Manager Süleyman Karaman explained that Marmaray's Sirkeci station was closed temporarily because of the extreme intensity: '70 percent of the passengers come to visit. There are no passengers saying that I will definitely get off in Sirkeci. Therefore, we introduce Marmaray to our citizens. We can stand in Sirkeci, there is no problem, but we will open it after recovering a little.
