After Gazi University, Afyon Kocatepe University Physical Education and Sports High School students started to do their practical ski lessons at Ilgaz Mountain Doruk Ski Center. Students can ski in Doruk, which is located in the southern part of Ilgaz Mountain, as a result of squeezing the falling snow on the track in the first week of December.
Students of Gazi University, who did their ski lessons on Ilgaz Mountain during the season, also attended by Afyon Kocatepe University students this season. Introducing Ilgaz Mountain, a winter sports expert and Çankırı Ski Trainers Association President Assoc. Emergency Half stated that as of the end of December, enough snow is available for ski training on Ilgaz Mountain, and said:
“We are doing practical skiing lessons with the students of the Sports Colleges of both universities and with our 80 students at Ilgaz Doruk. This training will continue theoretically in the evenings in addition to the practical ski lessons for 5 days, 4 hours a day in the morning and afternoon. "
The students staying at Doruk Hotel, located at an altitude of 1990, right next to the track, said that they loved Ilgaz, which is a natural wonder besides skiing.
