Huge budget for Antalya - Kayseri high speed train line project

Huge budget for the Antalya - Kayseri high speed train line project: When the Antalya - Kayseri high-speed train, which has an investment budget of 5 billion 126 million TL by the Ministry of Transport, Maritime Affairs and Communications, is completed, Antalya will be connected to 11 cities, including Istanbul and Ankara, by rail.
The high-speed train project, which will connect Antalya to Central Anatolia, completes the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) process. While EIA meetings were held in November in the provinces where the railway passes through, the Ministry of Environment and Urbanization held the second examination-evaluation meeting on November 19.
The high-speed train line planned according to the project report prepared by the Ministry of Transport, Maritime Affairs and Communication consists of two separate sections. The railway consists of the main line starting from Antalya and extending from Konya, Aksaray, Nevşehir to Kayseri and the Alanya-Antalya connection line. The cost determined for the project was 5 billion 126 million 615 thousand TL. On the specified line, passenger trains will be able to go up to 250 kilometers per hour and freight trains up to 80 kilometers.
The report prepared for the EIA, the current road between the provinces of Antalya and the roads in the north standards are very low, he said. Providing that this connection will be achieved by railway, the ministry foresees that the rate of road use will decrease and transportation standards will increase, and the following evaluations are made:
“The railway project, which connects the socio-economically developed provinces, is important for regional and national development. The fact that the cities of Antalya, Konya and Nevşehir, which are strategically important in terms of tourism, will be connected to each other by the said railway line, is important in terms of increasing the regional tourism potential. When viewed from a wider window it can be seen as an important route for Turkey in the north-south axis. When the route is integrated with other planned lines, it can be seen that it will be a very large project on a country scale.
TO BE CONNECTED BY RAILWAY
With the integration of the Antalya-Kayseri high-speed train project with other high-speed train projects, direct rail transportation will be provided to Antalya, Ankara, Istanbul, Mersin, neighboring provinces Burdur, Isparta, Afyonkarahisar, Aydın, Kütahya, Eskişehir, Kırşehir and Niğde.
ANTALYA AND FAST TRAIN
The project's Antalya - Kayseri main line is 583 kilometers, and the Alanya-Antalya connection line length is 57 kilometers. Within the scope of the project, 360 underpasses, 79 overpasses, 43 viaducts and 82 tunnels are planned to be built on the main line.
150 kilometers of the Antalya - Kayseri high-speed train will be within the borders of Antalya. The 'zero' point of the line within Antalya will be Döşemealtı. The train, which will continue in Döşemealtı for 18 kilometers, will pass Kepez between the 18th and 25th kilometers. Aksu will host between the 25th and 44th kilometers of the high-speed train. The line will then exit the Antalya borders from Serik, Manavgat, Akseki and İbradı. The high-speed train will pass 11 kilometers south of Kepez and Aksu and 13 kilometers east of Akseki. There will be stations in Döşemealtı, Serik and Manavgat.
TUNNELS AND VIADUCTS
30 tunnels will be built for high speed trains on this line. The longest two of these tunnels, 18 thousand 20 meters and 18 thousand 25 meters, will be found in İbradı. 137 kilometers of fast sweat will pass through tunnels in Antalya. Again, 30 bridges with lengths of 79 meters to 23 meters, separate number of overpasses and 170 underpasses will be built on this line. The Alanya-Antalya connection line will be crossed with 27 underpasses, 19 overpasses, 8 viaducts and 18 tunnels.
PASSENGER PROJECTIONS
Until 2046, it was predicted that there will be a daily 2017 train service from Antalya and a demand of 5 million 3 thousand 695 people in 86. In 100, the 2023th anniversary of the Republic, the demand reached 4 million 358 thousand 585, while the number of daily trips increased to 7. In 2046, 8 million 512 thousand 820 travel requests and 15 train trips were forecasted.
NO AIRPORT CONNECTION
Institutional opinions and data regarding the project were obtained from 72 institutions and organizations for the Antalya-Kayseri Railway Project. Antalya Metropolitan Municipality, one of these institutions, requested the connection of the railway line with Antalya Airport. However, this demand, which was evaluated in the first project design studies, was not accepted by stating that the line must maintain its high standards, the connection line must pass through the residential areas completely, and it must be integrated into the Eskişehir-Antalya Railway Line.
UNDERGROUND FOR THE ENVIRONMENT
The railway project has 3 wildlife development areas in Antalya, Cevizli Gidengelmez Mountain passes through Akseki - İbradı Üzümdere and Düzlerçamı. Railway project Antalya Cevizli It was completely underground within the Gidengelmez Mountain and Üzümdere Wildlife Development areas. The 50-meter part of the line will enter the Düzlerçamı area as 'mandatory'. The Ministry stated in the report that this entrance will only be at the border of the area, and that no way is entered into the area at the rest of the line.
351 CAR WILL BE TRAFFIC
With the realization of the project, a significant decrease in traffic is expected on the intercity roads in the region. According to the calculation, only for the year 2017 Antalya-Kayseri main line and Alanya-Antalya connection line between the 11 station daily 87 truck and 351 automobile traffic will be withdrawn.
